Program Description:

"My clinical affiliation at P.G. Chambers was my first true exposure to pediatric physical therapy. In three short months I explored a variety of treatment settings including the private school program, early intervention, aquatic therapy, and contract services at a local high school. Not only did this experience provide me with a broad view of the various treatment environments, but also I was surrounded by a terrific and talented staff that was more than willing to share their expertise and encourage me to develop my knowledge and skills.

I also had the opportunity to handle new equipment and learn about adapting equipment to suit individual needs. What impressed me most was the overall feeling of welcoming and the drive toward collaboration among all of the therapy disciplines, as well as the willingness of the educational staff to carry therapeutic recommendations into the classroom. P.G. Chambers is a wonderful place to both learn and work, and that's not something you can easily find."

(Amanda Hayowyk, PT, DPT
Graduate of University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, May 2006
)

"I had a very enjoyable experience as a Physical Therapy student in the Fall of 1997. I vowed that I would return to this wonderful school another day as a Staff Physical Therapist! I loved my supervisor’s treatment style and admired her clinical knowledge as a pediatric physical therapist. As a result, I enjoyed 5 1/2 wonderful years at P.G. Chambers School as a Pediatric Physical Therapist.

I enjoyed the variety of options open to me for clinical experience; serving the pre-school and school age population, in the nearby school system as a contract physical therapist and participated in after-school PT programs such as yoga for children with special needs and aquatic physical therapy."

(Mary Carroll, PT, DPT
Graduate of University of Hartford, January 1998)

"Many of the therapists and staff members that I learned from 19 years ago as a student are still here inspiring me today!"

(Nancy Altshuler, PT
Graduate of Ithaca College, May 1989)
