P.G. Chambers School Concert in the Park, Brings Cool Sounds and Spirited Supporters

Cedar Knolls, NJ (June 2007) – P.G. Chambers School Parents Guild committee along with chairperson and parent, Michele Bonanno, raised over $50,000 last Saturday at the school’s fifth annual Concert in the Park. Proceeds will benefit the School’s innovative and highly successful educational and therapeutic programs for more than 600 children with disabilities or developmental delays.

“Children come to our school from ten counties in northern New Jersey,” said Susan Seamans, Executive Director, “and our goal for each child is that he or she leaves P.G. Chambers School with skills for living happy and productive lives."

Over 400 friends and families of the P.G. Chambers School community enjoyed the sounds of “Music Together” of Verona, West Orange & the Caldwells with their sing-along for children of all ages.

Andrea Quigley, the school’s Director of Development praised the work of the parent committee and the support of the community, stating that the overwhelming “financial success of the event must be credited to the generosity of our sponsors, including, Breakaway Technologies, Inc., Patricia and Ray Chambers, Dun & Bradstreet, Unjeria Jackson MD and Larry Thompson, TSS Facility Services, Inc., PNC Bank, Lowenstein Sandler PC and so many others whose support will touch the lives of all of our students in a very special way.”

Founded in 1954, P.G. Chambers School offers a wide range of learning and therapeutic programs designed to help children from birth to age 22 with learning, physical, speech-language and sensory disorders develop the skills they need to realize their unique talents and capabilities. In fact, the stated mission of the School is “discovering the unique potential within every child.” P.G. Chambers School is funded by government and private grants, fees and tuition, and financial support from individual donors, foundations and corporations. The School has nonprofit, tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
