Arianna Huffington, Author, Co-Founder and Editor-In-Chief of the Huffington Post to Guest Speak at Luncheon to Benefit P.G. Chambers School

Great conversation, wonderful food, and thought-provoking speakers and are all part of P.G. Chambers School Menus for the Mind Lecture Luncheon series. One of the school’s signature fundraising events, Menus has been supporting school programs for over 14 years. The 2008-2009 series, under the leadership of committee chair, Christine Chambers Gilfillan, promises to be both insightful and entertaining. Along with the celebrity and parent speakers, the event includes a silent auction of exceptional, one-of-a kind specialty items, grant-a-wish items for the school, and an exciting raffle.

The 2008-2009 Lecture Series will kick off at the Brooklake Country Club, 139 Brooklake Road in Florham Park, NJ on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11:00 am with guest speaker Arianna Huffington, Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief of the Huffington Post. Ms. Huffington, a dynamic thinker and political analyst, will present a timely commentary the week following the national elections.

“This year, we are returning to a three event format” stated Susan Seamans, Executive Director, “we are hoping that by having one of the events here at the school, guests will see, first hand, the impact of their support for Menus for the Mind.” This special Menus Brunch is planned for March 5, 2009 at P.G. Chambers School, 15 Halko Drive, Cedar Knolls, with guest speaker, Timothy P. Shriver, Chairman of the Special Olympics. Mr. Shriver has visited the school before and is eager to return and address our audience. Guests at the event will also meet the students, tour the school, and be part of an important dialogue regarding the importance and impact of special education.

The series concludes on Thursday, May 7, 2009 with featured speaker and celebrity author, actress and mother, Jenny McCarthy. “Ms. McCarthy will be an exciting guest,” states Fran Frigerio, long-time supporter and member of the P.G. Chambers School development committee, “after all, Menus for the Mind was created to make us think, and Jenny, a tireless advocate for children, will raise important questions for all of us to consider.”

The 2008-2009 Menus for the Mind Lecture Series is generously sponsored by The MCJ Amelior Foundation, Loondance Foundation, Bayview Foundation, The Glenmede Trust Co., Jeffrey and Cathy Walsh, Rose and David Nakamura, Unjeria Jackson, M.D. and Larry Thompson, The Lipper Family Charitable Foundation, Prudential Financial, William E.
