Pearson Learning Group Partners with P.G. Chambers School For Student Art Show Helping Children with Special Needs Utilize Art to Express their Uniqueness
Upper Saddle River, NJ (November 2006) – Pearson Learning Group (PLG) is teaming up with New Jersey's P.G. Chambers School to sponsor a student Art Show on Nov. 16 at PLG's Parsippany, NJ, headquarters.
The first collaboration between the two organizations, the show will feature student portraits. The event is designed to help the students express their personalities through art and to provide a forum for them to share their work with family, friends, and their community.
P.G. Chambers School has been helping children with special needs discover their own unique potentials for more than 50 years, and the arts have become a very important tool in that discovery process.
"We find ways to reach children, particularly those that are non-verbal or have physical disabilities," said Susan Seamans, Executive Director, P.G .Chambers School. "Art and music are sometimes the keys to unlocking their worlds and communicating with friends and family members."
"There is a natural fit between the mission and vision of our two organizations," said Dan Caton, President, Pearson Learning Group. "Our employees wanted to get involved at the local level to help a very worthwhile activity taking place in our own backyard."
