P.G. Chambers School Concert in the Park Went Under the Big Top for Fun and Fundraising
Cedar Knolls, NJ (June 2009) – P.G. Chambers School Parents Guild committee along with event co-chairs Michele Bonanno of West Caldwell and Nicole Wallace of Roseland raised over $60,000 last Saturday at the school’s sixth annual Concert in the Park. Proceeds will benefit the School’s innovative and highly successful educational and therapeutic programs for more than 600 children with disabilities or developmental delays.
One pre-school mom remarked, “What a wonderful event! This was our first concert in the park! Our family had a really nice time, and it is such a nice way to spend more time with the other kids and their families and the staff of the school.”
Bill Haskel, Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees added, “The entire P.G. Chambers School community did a great job on Saturday.” Over 300 friends and families of the P.G. Chambers School community enjoyed the sounds of “Music Together” of Verona, West Orange & the Caldwells with a sing-along for children of all ages.
“The financial success of the event must be credited to the generosity of our sponsors,” said Susan Seamans, Executive Director of the school, “including, Patricia and Ray Chambers, Breakaway Technologies, Inc., Dun & Bradstreet, Unjeria Jackson MD and Larry Thompson, Emma and Serena, Rose A. DeLuca and Rev. Frederick Boyle, Gloria and Bill Dodd, Sarah and Eric Elbell, Amy and Bill Haskel, Marotta Family, Romano Family, Cathy and Jeff Walsh, Dianne and Ray Bonanno, Michael De Feo and so many others whose support will touch the lives of all of our students in a very special way.”
