P.G. Chambers School To Host 2007 Golf Classic Local corporations and residents TEE OFF to benefit children with special needs at the "Foreth" Annual Golf Classic at Essex Fells Country Club

Cedar Knolls, NJ (September 2007) – On September 17,  120 golfers will take to the greens at Essex Fells Country Club for a very special event that has become a yearly tradition for the P.G. Chambers School. For the past four years, P.G. Chambers' trustees, parents, and community members have joined together to help more than 600 children with special needs and their families who come to the school each year from nine counties in northern New Jersey.

This year, proceeds from the Golf Classic will support the expansion of P.G. Chambers School's Technology Program. The School has just launched an exciting technology initiative, adding new staff, equipment, and programs that will assist children with disabilities in communicating, learning, and participating in school, home, and community activities.

The Golf Classic's format will feature tournament-style, four-player teams flighted by each team's combined handicap in an 18-hole net best team ball.  Registration and lunch begins at 11:00 am with a 12:00 pm shotgun start.  The winning teams from each flight will compete in a sudden death playoff at 5:30 pm to crown the tournament champions. The day will end with a cocktail reception, dinner, and exciting auction offerings, including several golf packages at sought-after New Jersey courses.

This year's Golf Classic committee is chaired by Montville resident Eric Monsen, Vice President of Monsen Engineering Company and P.G. Chambers trustee, along with other trustees, business leaders, and parents: Bill Haskel, Basking Ridge, President of P.G. Chambers Board of Trustees,  Tom Baio, Short Hills; Dean Bustamante, Morristown; Ed Doin, Morristown; Charlie Hutchinson, Harding Township; Pavan Mehta, Whippany; David Nakamura, Mendham; Hal Sass, Livingston; Darren Siker, Morristown; Art Steinberg, Parsippany and Tom Walsh, Bedminster.

Major sponsors for the event are Monsen Engineering, Morris Associates Inc/Morris Golf, and Thermal Air Conditioning/Heating; more than 40 other community businesses and individuals provided additional sponsorships and donations.
