Buffalo Wild Wings Teams Up With P.G. Chambers School

This summer, as we wrapped up the Power of 60 fundraising campaign, we couldn’t help but notice all of the fun, happiness, and smiles around the school and at our events. One of those events was a special lunch, hosted by Buffalo Wild Wings in Rockaway, NJ, benefittingIMG_1626 P.G. Chambers School students, families, and staff.

Children were able to eat for free, and it was a fun-filled afternoon with lots of laughs, smiles, and of course, great food. A truly relaxing and enjoyable way to mark the end-of-summer, and the start of a new school year. PGCS parent and Buffalo Wild Wings ManagerIMG_1635, Murph Murphy, whose son, Erik, is a student at the school, helped to coordinate the event.

From the moment that we arrived, Eric and his friendly staff were welcoming and warm, seating all PGCS guests in the same part of the dining area so parents and staff could mingle, while children played and ate with their classmates. With “Despicable Me 2” playing in the background, a real, life-size “minion” joined us; delighted students clamored to shake his hand, give him hugs, and take pictures.

Not to be outdone of course, the food for which the restaurant chain is named, the “wings” were supreme, with the staff table enjoying at least three full orders, replete with a variety of sauces. And the icing on the cake (or the sauce on the wings, if you will…) 10% of all the day’s wings’ proceeds went back to the school. Thank you Buffalo Wild Wings for an amazing day, a yummy lunch, and your contribution to P.G. Chambers School!
