P.G. Chambers School

At P.G. Chambers School, our recess groups give preschool, elementary, and middle-school students opportunities to move, play, and connect with friends.

Groups are designed around students’ abilities and interests, encouraging them to practice mobility skills while exploring new ways to socialize.

From fun with colors and apple-picking adventures to friendly races and snowy play, these theme-based recess groups bring real-life experiences to life through laughter, movement, and teamwork!

🌈 Finding the Rainbow

Students searched high and low for colorful treasures around the room, then worked together with adult support to sort them into a rainbow. With switches and joysticks, they practiced stop/go and left/right commands to move their chairs: teamwork, color fun, and movement all in one! See students in action in the photo above!

🍎 Apple Picking

Hands-on learning in action! Students enjoyed an apple-picking adventure, using adapted PVC shovels to collect apples while practicing turning and movement skills. They had so much fun combining physical activity with learning goals!
