Casino Night “Then and Now!”

Our mission at P.G. Chambers School is to help children lead full, productive lives; develop confidence in their own abilities; and engage fully and frequently in the community. That mission extends to all of the children we serve: those in our school program, the children receiving contract services throughout Morris County, the infants and toddlers receiving early intervention services, as well as those attending our inclusive daycare program, Kids Count Childcare. To accomplish these goals we employ an outstanding staff, including teachers, therapists, teacher’s assistants, and child development specialists. We have an incredible assistive technology clinic and we employ innovative learning techniques to help our students succeed.

In order to maintain the quality of services that is synonymous with P.G. Chambers School, we need to raise significant funds every year. One of our most popular and well-attended fundraisers is our annual Casino Night. It is such an important night for our community to come together; parents, staff, alumni, and friends, to celebrate our amazing students and raise funds to help ensure we can continue to give the children the outstanding education that they deserve.

On March 4, 2017, P.G. Chambers School hosted our 8th annual Casino Night at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park. Our theme this year was “Then and Now” and we encouraged guests to join in the fun by dressing in 1920’s attire. They did not disappoint! Attendees showed up sporting their “glad rags” and ready to have a great time.                                                                        To see the complete Casino night photo album, please visit our Facebook pageThroughout the evening, guests enjoyed playing casino games presented by Class Act Casino.
The room was buzzing with excitement as guests mingled and tried their luck at the craps, roulette, and blackjack tables.

In addition to casino games, we had an amazing silent auction with packages appealing to everyone, from the wine-lover to the fashionista. We are so grateful to the local businesses that supported the affair and played a tremendous role in helping us raise funds to support the students at PGCS. Many party-goers purchased a key for a chance to unlock our key box and win a year of shoes from Lord & Taylor! At the end of the evening, guests cashed in their casino cash for tickets and a chance to win great prizes!

The most magical part of the evening by far was our presentation, which featured an amazing video of our students here at PGCS. The energy was fantastic, as parents, family, friends, staff, and supporters in the crowd cheered for the students.

Please, take a few minutes to enjoy this video; it will definitely brighten your day!

Charity auctioneer CK Swett joined us this year to auction off fabulous prize packages and raise funds for the school. Many of our generous guests raised their bid paddles to pledge support and demonstrate their commitment to the mission and vision of P.G. Chambers School. The importance of these gifts cannot be over-stated; we need our donor community in order to continue providing the innovative programs that we have at PGCS. If you were not able to attend and are compelled to lend your support, please visit our donate page here.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the dedicated co-chairs of this event, Susan Lodge and Tiffany Srnensky,
who contributed so much of their time, talent, and energy into making this a successful event!

We also wish to thank our very generous sponsors, without which this event would not be possible.
Your commitment to furthering the mission of P.G. Chambers School is truly admirable!
