Menus for the Mind, An Evening with Leslie Odom Jr.
Thank you!
On Thursday, June 15, 2017 our students began our Menus for the Mind program by singing “Lean on Me” and “Time of Your Life.” The excitement and enthusiasm was felt throughout the room and the happiness was contagious.
Thank you for supporting the mission of the school; seeing limitless possibilities in our children, developing their
self-confidence, and helping them to achieve
self-confidence, and helping them to achieve
all that is important to them.
During sponsor a child, Menus guests generously contributed $41,854 for the Early Intervention program.
PGCS recognizes that early intervention is of the utmost importance in helping children achieve their unique potential and we must raise over $200,000 to cover a deficit in providing early intervention services.
Thank you for your commitment to helping children receive interventions that will greatly impact their lives!

As Leslie Odom Jr. sang in “Dear Theodosia” from Hamilton, “If we lay a strong enough foundation, we’ll pass it on to you, we’ll give the world to you, and you’ll blow us all away…” We are reminded of how vital the collaboration is among our families, staff, donors, and friends of the school, in building a strong foundation for our students, and allowing them the opportunity to amaze us again and again.

Nursing Suite Renovation Updates!
At our Fall Luncheon on November 3, 2016, sponsor a child generated $57,250 to help fund the renovation of the nursing suite. Construction began June 19th. The nurses were operating in a 125 square foot space to serve 120 students, many of whom have complex and varying medical needs that require attention throughout the day. With your funds, we plan to knock down walls to open space, create three treatment areas instead of one, add a working bathroom, build a storage space, create a rest area, and purchase medical equipment.
The generosity of our Menus guests was critical in making this project possible.
Our students and staff thank you.
Stay tuned for more progress!
This magical event would not be possible without the dedication, support, and passion of our co-chairs, Jerry Rose and Joanne Balady.
Thank you for all that you do.
