Special Day for Special Needs: Basketball Booster Club Supports PGCS

The West Essex Knights Girls’ Varsity Basketball team is proud to host “Special Day For Special Needs” to raise funds and awareness for children with special needs and disabilities.

Please come out and watch the West Essex Knights host the Mt. Olive Marauders on Saturday, February 14th at noon at West Essex Regional High School in North Caldwell, NJ. In lieu of admissions, donations will be accepted on-site and forwarded to P.G. Chambers School on behalf of the West Essex Girls’ Basketball Booster Club. If you are unable to attend, but would like to contribute to the event, please click HERE to make a donation and note “special day for special needs” in the notes section.

This event is near and dear to Knight’s co-captain Stephanie Lee’s (pictured above) heart as her little sister, Samantha (Sammie), passed away suddenly at the age of 13 in June 2013. Sammie attended P.G. Chambers School from kindergarten to 7th grade.

Through the years, P.G. Chambers School has provided Sammie and many children with disabilities the attentive, nurturing care, and therapeutic services needed to thrive. Sammie’s love for basketball was evident through her support for Steff on the sidelines as her biggest cheerleader. The Lee family would like to have the event to honor Sammie’s school, P.G. Chambers School.
