Executive Director Update June

Dear Friends and Families,

Hello everyone.  We certainly hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy.

As the State gradually re-opens, so do our services.  Kids Count Child Care will re-open on Tuesday, July 7^th on a three day a week schedule.  We have readied the facility and look forward to having the children return.

Our School program will conduct ESY starting July 6^th.  During the first week, we will continue providing all services virtually.  Starting Monday, July 13^th, families and districts will have the option to continue virtual learning and therapy, attend school in person, or elect a combination of virtual and in person services.  We value the opportunity to provide families and districts flexibility in identifying what’s best for each child.  We are working on the many details needed to implement this.  The plan is being informed by the CDC, the N.J. Department of Education and the N.J. Department of Health, the NJ School Nurses’ Association, and ASAH, and is being developed with input from our medical director and the local department of health.

Community Services will be offered according to the decisions of each district.  And Early Intervention remains virtual, while planning for at least a partial return to in home services at a later date.
